Role: Customer Order Expeditor Location: Knutsford, Parkgate Industrial Estate Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am till 5pm. 40 hours per week (Office Based) We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Customer Care team member to join our manufacturing team in Knutsford. What You'll Be Doing Ensuring customers have an up-to-date status for their order regularly Responding to customer e-mails / phone calls in a timely manner of 24 hours or less Reviewing order status and ensuring timely picks to meet on time delivery Coordinating with different departments (Sales / Engineering / Planning / Purchasing / Documentation / Logistics) to ensure the products and associated documentation for each customer order will ship as per the promise date. Liaising with Customer Inspectors Facilitating schedule of orders and resolving issues Providing updates to third party inspectors on open Inspection What You'll Bring Customer-focussed Have a pro-active approach to your work and be able to use your own initiative, driving orders through the system. Clear and professional communication skills Will need to be passionate about your role and provide excellent customer service and on-time delivery. Experience in a manufacturing/production environment would be an advantage, although not essential. Be able to stay calm when dealing with customer complaints in challenging situations Be proficient with MRP systems and Excel/Word and evidence strong analytical skills. Have the ability to multitask and manage your own time. Have the ability to question the reasons why deliveries cannot be achieved and think of alternative courses of action to achieve goals. Reliability and a detail-oriented approach. Be a pro-active team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Have good numeracy, literacy and communication skills. What's On Offer? Overtime at x1.5 Work Pattern: Mon-Fri 08:30-17:00 (40 hours with half hour for lunch) At Oliver Valves, we design and manufacture high-quality valves used in critical applications across the globe. To maintain our reputation for quality, we re looking for a Mechanical Inspector to join our team. The Role This role would be best suited to a CNC or conventional machinist looking to move into inspection or an inspector looking for a new challenge. They will be passionate about engineering and enjoy working in a fast paced, supportive environment. As a Mechanical Inspector, you ll play a key part in ensuring our components and finished products meet the highest standards before reaching our customers. This will involve: Carrying out first-off inspection of CNC-machined parts. Using precision measuring equipment (plug gauges, micrometers, verniers, height gauges) to verify compliance with tight GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning of Tolerancing). Reviewing CAD and machined components against drawings and specifications in imperial measurement. Completing QC paperwork and working with Quality Assurance and Purchasing to resolve quality issues. Managing acceptance/return of defective parts via the ERP system. Using CMM or FARO arm for advanced measurement full training provided if needed. About You We re looking for someone who: Has a mechanical background apprenticeship, vocational training, or relevant industry experience. Brings experience from a machine shop, automotive, aerospace, or precision engineering environment. Can confidently interpret engineering drawings and work with inspection tools. Has a good understanding of ISO9001:2015 quality systems . Is computer-literate and comfortable completing documentation. Is practical, detail-focused, and passionate about engineering quality.
