Fitter - Double Days A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a Fitter. Working from their manufacturing facility in Shropshire, the Fitter will be responsible for: Assemble and fit mechanical parts and machined components, following engineering drawings and CAD detail Assemble and fit pneumatic and controls/sensor systems to assembly fixtures, robot grippers and automation based components Install and integrate assembly fixtures, robot grippers and automation based components Support installation of full assembly cells during commissioning phases and also at customer when required Installation: Interpreting drawings and CAD data to support fitting of robots, guarding, fixtures, services cabinets and trunking. Including laying where applicable communications and pneumatic/electrical cabling Support when required fitting activities including dis-assembly and re-assembly of pipework and steels Participate in training sessions and development programs as and when required Any other duties as reasonably requested. The successful candidate should have a minimum of an Apprenticeship or NVQ/City & Guilds and proven experience in a similar role. This job role offers the successful individual the chance to further develop their skillset and join a leading supplier of automotive components. The Cost Estimator will be responsible for ensuring that cost estimates are completed throughout the enquiry and quotation process. Further Responsibilities will include: Full control of the enquiry process and cost book ensuring cost estimates are prepared throughout. Estimating manufacturing batch sizes and stock holding to ensure cost estimates are prepared correctly. Investigating production methods and product types Maintain contact with all perspective and existing customers To assist in identifying the most suitable contacts at design, engineering and purchasing in each OEM and relevant tier companies. To ensure that quotations are followed up in a timely manner and that customer receives cost breakdown information as required.
