About the Machine Operative Opportunity:
Due to continued expansion and the opening of a brand-new factory, we are recruiting 12 permanent machinists across various disciplines for a leading precision engineering business in Hampshire. This company supplies to high-spec industries such as aerospace and defence and has made major investments in technology and infrastructure.
Roles available include CNC Turning, Gear Cutting, Grinding, Lapping, Deburring, and more. You ll be joining a newly formed afternoon shift team and will receive full onboarding and training.
What You ll Be Doing as a Machine Operative:
- Operate machines such as lathes, grinders, gear cutters or CNCs
- Work from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
- Deliver quality output within production deadlines
- Collaborate with colleagues in a team-focused environment
- Complete a 12-week training period on day shift (06 15 Mon Thu, Fri 06 00) before transitioning to afternoon shift
What We re Looking For as a Machine Operative:
- Experience in machining: CNC, turning, milling, grinding, deburring, or gear cutting
- Comfortable working permanent afternoon shifts
- Willing to complete initial training on day shift
- Team player with a proactive mindset
- Right to work in the UK
