Senior Residential Support Worker - Children's Home in Eastergate

Location: Eastergate, West Sussex

Role: Senior Residential Support Worker

Setting: 4-Bed Children's Residential Home

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Full-time including evenings, weekends & sleep-in shifts (rota basis)

We are currently seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated team at our 4-bed children's home in Eastergate. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in residential childcare who is ready to take on more responsibility in a supportive, rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing high-quality, person-centred care to children aged 8-17
  • Leading shifts and supporting junior staff to deliver consistent care
  • Being a positive role model and promoting healthy routines, education, and independence
  • Supporting with care planning, risk assessments, and key documentation
  • Ensuring safeguarding and wellbeing of all young people in the home
  • Liaising with families, professionals, and external agencies
  • Supporting the management team with audits, mentoring, and team development
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a children's residential setting
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare - essential
  • A compassionate, confident, and resilient approach
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly on a rota including sleep-ins
  • Full UK driving licence
