Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £39,600 - £43,780 per annum

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: ASAP or January 2026

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Construction Teacher to join a forward-thinking specialist education provider in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and support young people, helping them to gain valuable vocational qualifications and practical skills that will prepare them for their future careers.

You will be teaching small groups of learners in a purpose-built construction workshop, delivering both theory and practical lessons. The role is ideal for someone who is passionate about their trade and motivated to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons in construction, including carpentry, painting & decorating, and general building skills.
  • Prepare learners for vocational qualifications, including Level 1 and Level 2 awards and CSCS card preparation.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet a variety of learning needs, including those with SEN.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive and well-managed workshop environment.
  • Contribute to the wider curriculum and personal development of learners.
What We're Looking For
  • A qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS or a recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards this).
  • Strong background in construction trades (carpentry, bricklaying, multi-skills, or related fields).
  • Experience of teaching, training, or mentoring young people desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and improving life chances for young people.
