WALSTEAD ROCHE, one of the UK's leading web offset printers has the following vacancy for their site based in Cornwall:

Electromechanical Engineer

(Electrical bias)

Salary £40,000 per annum + overtime opportunities at double time

42 hours per week average across 3-4 shifts

Working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for 4 weeks,

then rotating to Thursday, Friday, Saturday for 4 weeks

and every other Sunday day shift on rotation

6.00am-18.00pm with a 1 hour paid break

Responsible for repairs, servicing and maintenance of all production related equipment, including Fault diagnosis and repair, continuous improvement project/task work, and general site facilities tasks. In addition to these day-to-day duties the role will be allocated specific improvement projects with focus on manufacturing continuous improvement projects/Tasks.

We require a multi-skilled electrical and engineering Technician (Electromechanical) who can complete both electrical and mechanical jobs across a wide range of manufacturers machines to fault diagnose, repair, complete preventative servicing and other general site facilities tasks.

The successful candidate must have:

A recognised industrial Electrical qualification. As well as training and qualification to IEE 18th/19th edition preferred.

Experience working on drives and PCB's.

Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.

Ability to work solo as an Electromechanical Engineer diagnosing, repairing and performing servicing tasks which are both electrical and mechanical.

Competent to operate a lathe.

MIG/TIG welding skills preferable although not essential.

Have good communication, organisational and team work skills. Self-motivation, ability to apply initiative and determined.
