Mechanical Design Engineers (Outside of IR35)Certain Advantage is hiring for Mechanical Design Engineers based in the Huddersfield area.This role is on a contract basis and is hybrid-based.The CompanyWe're working with an engineering company specialising in solving complex engineering challenges across industries-from Power Generation, Rail and more.Does this sound like your next career move?If you're ambitious to grow, this may be your next role?The Role:This role is for Mechanical Design Engineers-someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You'll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.You'll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

• Detailed design
• Material selection, hand calculation, rotor dynamics
• Conceptual design, 3D and 2D modelling
• BOM and gear data generation
• Concession/Non-conformance assessment and resolution

The Individual We're looking for people who can show:

• Structural design practices and methodologies
• Design for heavy industry, power transmission systems, gear or gearboxes
• 3D CAD package, ideally Solid Edge
• Educational background to a degree level in Engineering or a related field
