Key responsibilities Attend project sites as directed Supervise the project on site, making sure client requirements are met, reviewing progress and working with the Project Manager to monitor costs Deliver all site health and safety requirements, including inductions, and make sure risk assessments and method statements are followed by everyone on site Manage day-to-day activity for staff, contractors and subcontractors Make sure PPE is worn as directed, and manage spare PPE stock Secure the site, plant and materials daily Manage maintenance of owned and hired plant, and check hire plant against the hire register Keep the site tidy and organise clearance at the end of the project Report progress and technical issues to the Project Manager, and keep programmes up to date Check designs and drawings, and prepare routine site reports Keep a daily site diary covering visitors, workers, deliveries and issues Receive and check deliveries, and pass delivery notes to head office Check plant training certificates and CSCS cards are in date and the right trade is certified Maintain quality control in line with company procedures Liaise with clients, their representatives, subcontractors and, occasionally, members of the public About you Essential SMSTS and a Site Manager CSCS card Experience managing site operatives day to day First Aid at Work certificate Full UK driving licence Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word and Excel Strong communication and teamwork skills Desirable Knowledge of civils, structural and mechanical and electrical engineering (not all needed) What's on offer 40,000 salary Varied projects with an established specialist contractor

You'd join an established operations team and work on a varied mix of projects. The role You'll lead day-to-day activity on site, reporting to the Operations Manager and taking direction from the Project Manager on each project.
