AWS Platform Lead

Job Title: AWS Platform Lead
Location: Knutsford (candidates must be within 1 hour or willing to relocate)
Contract Duration: Until 31st December 2025
Day Rate: £425 (Inside IR35)
Onsite Requirement: 2-3 days per week (non-consecutive)

The Role
We are seeking an experienced AWS Platform Lead to provide both technical leadership and strategic direction for our cloud transformation. You will lead a team of AWS engineers and architects, drive adoption and migration strategies, and ensure secure, scalable, and resilient AWS solutions that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage AWS engineers and architects.
• Define and deliver cloud adoption and migration strategies.
• Design and implement secure, scalable AWS architectures.
• Oversee deployment, monitoring, and optimisation of AWS infrastructure.
• Conduct well-architected reviews and ensure compliance with best practices.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application Development teams.
• Drive automation using IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Stay up to date with AWS services and emerging cloud technologies.

• Proven experience in leading AWS-focused teams and projects.
• Strong expertise in AWS architecture, migration, and cloud best practices.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
