Principal Air Quality Consultant
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: 50,000 - 65,000 + Excellent Benefits

A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a Principal Air Quality Consultant to join its growing London team. About the Role
As a Principal Air Quality Consultant, you'll lead the delivery of complex air quality assessments, manage technical teams, and build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and local authorities. You'll oversee modelling, reporting, and compliance work across sectors including transport, infrastructure, and urban development - driving innovation and ensuring the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver complex air quality projects from concept to completion
Provide technical direction on dispersion modelling (ADMS/AERMOD) and EIA chapters
Manage key client accounts and contribute to business development initiatives
Mentor and support junior team members, fostering professional growth
Liaise with stakeholders, regulators, and local authorities to ensure compliance and quality
Support strategic growth and service development within the London office
Skills & Experience
6+ years' experience in air quality consultancy or regulatory roles
Strong technical knowledge of ADMS, AERMOD, and IAQM/EPUK guidance
Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or a related discipline
Chartered status (CEnv / IAQM) or working towards accreditation (advantageous)
Proven leadership, communication, and project management skills
Full UK driving licence
