JOB TITLE: New Product Introduction Manager / NPI Manager
The COMPANY
Our client is a well-established engineering sub-contract organisation who have forged a profitable niche for themselves working, predominantly, within the "Yellow Construction Industry" - diggers, FLT, dumpers, etc. They offer their clients a full engineering solution including laser cutting, press brake, tube bending, fabrication, etc.
The ROLE
The right NPI Engineer would play a key role in supporting continued growth, being responsible for the development and introduction of new products - will ensuring PPAP approved parts are produced to customer specifications.
The minutia of the role includes;
Feasibility reviews to identify possible improvements and agree best manufacture methods
Design and develop tooling
CMM measurement
PPAP documentation
Full visual inspection of samples, including weld and paint approval
Supporting customers with any product related manufacturing design queries
Help the development, measurement and approval of prototypes
The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic NPI Engineer possessing the ambition to forge a career within a successful expanding engineering company. You will possess the following skills;
Engineering and fabrication background
Ability to read detailed engineering drawings
Computer literate (Microsoft office suites)
Experience operating CMM measuring device
CAD skills would be useful
Ideally experience working on projects with APQP/PPAP
