This is a customer-facing role that requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills.The position offers a varied workload, from preventative maintenance to urgent breakdown support, ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable, and efficient for clients in diverse industries across the Lancashire region.Key Responsibilities for Field Service Engineer
- Install, service, and troubleshoot systems
- Diagnose technical faults and carry out efficient, safe repairs
- Log activities and maintain accurate service records using digital systems
- Support urgent call-outs as part of the on-call rota
- Participate in technical training and team meetings to maintain knowledge and share best practice
- Act as a trusted representative of the business, delivering excellent customer service and identifying opportunities for added value
- Contribute to a positive safety culture and uphold high standards of compliance at all times
Candidate Profile for Field Service Engineer
- Practical experience in mechanical, electrical, or field engineering, ideally with exposure to troubleshooting and maintenance
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Confident in using IT tools and open to learning new service management systems
- Full UK driving licence (max 3 penalty points)
- Strong communication skills, customer-first approach, and proactive problem-solving mindset
