Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

• Service and repair a range of HGVs to DVSA and manufacturer standards
• Carry out fault diagnostics using the latest equipment
• Perform MOT preparations and ensure vehicles remain roadworthy
• Maintain accurate records of all work completed and parts used
• Work collaboratively within a team and maintain a safe working environment

Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Essential

• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
• Proven experience working on HGVs in a workshop or fleet setting
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• Class 1 or 2 licence
• Experience with a variety of HGV manufacturers
