Five Education is looking for Supply Nursery Practitioners to work in nurseries and early years provisions across Gloucester. This role is perfect for those who enjoy working with young children in a fun, supportive environment, and want flexible work with the potential to move into long-term and contract roles
As a supply Nursery Practitioner, you ll work on a day-to-day basis in different nursery settings, helping to create a safe and engaging environment for children aged 0-5. You llsupport children with their development through play, learning activities, and care routines, while building strong relationships with both children and staff.
Qualifications in early years education are ideal but not necessary, and we welcome any applicants with adjacent experience, or those who are thinking about pursuing a career in childcare.
Main Responsibilities:
Support children aged 0-5 with learning and development through age-appropriate activities
Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for play and exploration
Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and nursery routines
Assist with feeding, toileting, and other personal care needs
Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and nursery staff
Maintain safeguarding and health & safety standards at all times
Essential Criteria:
Empathetic, patient, and passionate about supporting children s learning
Available to work Monday to Friday, 8 00 (with some possible variation)
Right to work in the UK we are unable to offer sponsorship or accept Skilled Worker visas
Able to provide two recent references (from the last two years)
Up to date DBS/police check, or be willing to obtain one
Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.

Pay
Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid, with no hidden fees such as admin costs or employer s NI.
Please note the pay rate is for illustration and includes holiday pay.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, TRA checks, and a DBS; there will also be an interview.
