History Teacher

Full-Time January 2025 Start (or Sooner)

Astro Education is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced History Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a full-time contract beginning in January 2025, with the possibility to start sooner for the right candidate.

This exciting opportunity is open to qualified teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about teaching History and helping students achieve their full potential.

• Teach History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS3 & KS4)
• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons to inspire students and raise attainment
• Plan, prepare and assess students in line with the national curriculum
• Take on full classroom and teaching responsibilities, contributing to the wider school community

We are looking for a dedicated History Teacher who can demonstrate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4 in a UK secondary school
• Strong subject knowledge of the History curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Flexibility, patience and adaptability
• A willingness to support students of all abilities, including those with SEN
