Maintenance Engineer -(EXTRA SHIFT COVER) £35ph

Location: Purfleet, Essex
Pay Rate: 35 per hour (Outside IR35) or PAYE option available

We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to provide extra shift cover at a leading international FMCG manufacturer based in Purfleet. This opportunity offers flexibility - ideal if you're looking to pick up additional shifts (typically once or twice a week, or 2-3 times a month) to earn extra income around your existing role.

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) as required

• Attend to breakdowns in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults

• Support continuous improvement and minimise downtime

• Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within an FMCG or high-speed manufacturing environment

• Qualified mechanically or electrically (Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)

• Strong hands-on maintenance skills (mechanical and electrical)

• Able to work autonomously and respond quickly to breakdowns

• 35 per hour (Outside IR35) or PAYE payment option

• Flexible shift pattern - work when you're available

Based in Purfleet, Essex - easily commutable from Basildon, Erith, Dagenham, Beckton, Silvertown, Bow, Enfield, Epping, Chelmsford, Dartford, Grays, Rainham, Romford, South Ockendon, Tilbury, and surrounding areas in Essex, Kent and London
