Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a key player in the energy transition to recruit a Senior Grid Connections Manager. The company work mainly in the solar and battery storage sectors and we're looking for someone with genuine experience of UK grid requirements and applications to drive forward the next stage of the company's growth.
Th Senior Grid Connection Manager comes with a salary up to c 70,000, depending on your experience, with an excellent extended package too.

Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Grid Connections Manager role
Reporting to the Engineering Lead you will:
- Oversee full responsibility for grid connections
- Ensure technical compliance and manage the grid connection process from feasibility to energisation
- Be the primary contact for all grid connection matters, from managing connection agreements to liaising with regulatory bodies and project teams
- Act as the key point of contact with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), Transmission System Operators (TSOs), National Grid, and other regulatory stakeholders.
- Oversee grid studies, system impact assessments, and technical designs to ensure compliance with DNO/TSO/ICP requirements.
- Ensure timely project energisation while optimising connection costs and mitigating risks.

We are looking for someone with the following:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or something very similar
- Chartered Engineer status is hugely preferred
- Demonstrable experience of successfully managing grid connections
- Great knowledge of UK grid codes, G99/G100 and the connection application process
