Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA)

Kolt Recruitment are currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join a busy Accident Repair Centre in Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a key role in estimating and managing repair processes, ensuring customers receive the highest standard of service.
Key Responsibilities

• Accurately assess vehicle damage and produce repair estimates using Audatex (or similar estimating systems).
• Create detailed repair reports and costings for both insurers and customers.
• Liaise with insurance companies, engineers, and customers to gain repair authority.
• Work closely with workshop teams to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to industry standards.
• Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Experience

• Previous experience as a VDA / Estimator in a bodyshop or accident repair environment.
• ATA VDA Accreditation is desirable but not essential for experienced candidates.
• Strong understanding of modern repair methods and estimating software.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Full UK driving licence.
