Our client is a leading international bank with a strong presence in Private Banking, specialising in Islamic residential mortgages for high-net-worth clients in Prime Central London. They are now seeking an Associate Credit Analyst to join their Private Banking team.
This role will support Relationship Managers by delivering high-quality credit analysis, AML reviews, and portfolio monitoring while also assisting senior management with reporting and management information.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review credit applications for regulated and non-regulated residential and Buy-to-Let facilities.
- Conduct detailed financial and cashflow analysis, including downside scenario modelling.
- Monitor compliance with credit policies, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
- Support Relationship Managers with AML reviews, ensuring documentation is up to date and identifying changes to client structures or income profiles.
- Assist the Head of Private Banking in producing reports, including Manco and Consumer Duty, and maintaining MI across new deals, renewals, and annual reviews.
- Liaise with Credit Risk, Compliance, and external parties such as valuers and lawyers to ensure transactions are completed accurately and in line with approvals.
Skills & Experience
- Strong credit analysis experience, ideally within residential real estate lending in a Private Banking environment.
- Proven experience of writing credit proposals
- Knowledge of real estate markets, financing due diligence, and legal/valuation requirements.
- Hands-on experience in cashflow modelling and transaction management.
- Recent exposure to AML and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office with excellent written and verbal English.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
