URGENT VACANCY: Yard Fitter Wales/Manchester Area

Full-Time Temp-to-Perm Opportunity Immediate Start Available

We are urgently seeking a Yard Fitter to join our client s dynamic and growing team based in Wales. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual to secure long-term, stableemployment with a forward-thinking business in the Modular and Offsite Construction sector.
A permanent position may be offered following a successful trial period.

Hours of Work

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am 3:30pm
• Overtime available when required

Pay Rate

£15.00 per hour

• Holiday pay entitlement
• Weekly pay

Key Responsibilities

As a Yard Fitter, your role will include a variety of hands-on tasks to Strip, Refurbish, and prepare modular buildings for delivery and installation, including:

• Measuring, cutting, and assembling timber to precise specifications
• Stripping down and refurbishing used modular units
• Partitioning Walls
• Installing plasterboard, sheeting, flooring, and internal panels
• Performing 1st fix joinery and general carpentry duties
• Using a range of hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Ensuring a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Assisting colleagues with general labouring and assembly work as required

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Maintenance, or Semi Skilled Joinery
• NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Carpentry & Joinery (preferred but not essential)
• Confident in using a variety of joinery tools and materials
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Punctual, reliable, and motivated with a strong work ethic
• Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge is desirable
