Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare full monthly management accounts, including all related journals, accruals and prepayments
- Reconcile multiple balance sheet accounts (VAT, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany, etc.)
- Produce monthly variance analysis, KPIs and board reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow reporting
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and assist with corporation and personal tax
- Use and train others on cloud-based accounting platforms including Xero or QuickBooks
- Supervise and support junior team members on day-to-day tasks
- Liaise directly with SME clients and build strong working relationships
- Part-qualified or actively studying (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) - full study support provided
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a finance or accounting role
- Must have experience preparing full management accounts
- Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
- Comfortable working to strict deadlines with minimal supervision
- Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
- Strong communicator with a proactive and collaborative mindset
- Bonus: Experience in an SME, multi-entity, or client-facing role
- Starting Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
