Veritas Education is currently working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a Design Technology Technician for a full-time, long-term role starting as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic individual to support the DT department in delivering engaging and practical lessons. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining equipment, preparing materials, and ensuring a safe and productive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teaching staff in the preparation of materials and equipment for lessons.
• Maintain tools, machinery, and workshop areas in line with health and safety standards.
• Assist students during practical sessions where appropriate.
• Manage stock levels and order supplies as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a school-based technician role or similar environment is desirable.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within a workshop setting.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive and flexible approach to supporting the department.
