English Teacher - Milton Keynes

Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Start date: ASAP

Pay rate: £180 - £199 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time, long-term

Are you a passionate and resilient English Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable English specialist to join a dedicated education team at a specialist provision in Milton Keynes, supporting students aged 12-18 who require an alternative, engaging, and nurturing approach to learning.

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Deliver high-quality, creative English lessons to small groups of learners.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet a range of learning abilities and emotional needs.
• Work collaboratively with support staff and other subject specialists.
• Contribute to a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Help young people build confidence, improve literacy, and gain meaningful qualifications (Functional Skills and GCSE).

This specialist education provision is committed to the rehabilitation and education of young people, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to expand their knowledge and develop essential life skills for future success.

The curriculum includes core subjects such as English, Maths, Science, and PSHE, alongside a wide range of vocational pathways including Construction, Hair & Beauty, Music, Art, Food Technology, and PE.

With small class sizes, strong pastoral support, and a focus on positive behaviour management, this is a rewarding environment for a teacher who wants to make a genuine difference.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
• Strong subject knowledge in English.
• Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs is highly desirable.
• Excellent classroom management and a nurturing approach.
