English Teacher - Milton Keynes

Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Start date: ASAP

Pay rate: £180 - £199 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time, long-term

Are you a passionate and resilient English Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable English specialist to join a dedicated education team at a specialist provision in Milton Keynes, supporting students aged 12-18 who require an alternative, engaging, and nurturing approach to learning.

About the Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, creative English lessons to small groups of learners.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet a range of learning abilities and emotional needs.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and other subject specialists.
  • Contribute to a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help young people build confidence, improve literacy, and gain meaningful qualifications (Functional Skills and GCSE).

The curriculum includes core subjects such as English, Maths, Science, and PSHE, alongside a wide range of vocational pathways including Construction, Hair & Beauty, Music, Art, Food Technology, and PE.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
  • Strong subject knowledge in English.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent classroom management and a nurturing approach.
  • A passion for inclusive education and supporting all learners to achieve.
