Are you an experienced Operations Manager looking to lead and improve business operations within a respected financial firm? Our client, based in Liverpool, is seeking a dedicated professional to manage operational efficiency, ensure compliance, and support a talented team in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Location: Liverpool (Hybrid working available)

Salary: Up to £65,000

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Role

As Operations Manager, you will oversee the smooth running of the firm's day-to-day operations, working closely with directors to support business growth while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. This role combines leadership, process management, and people management responsibilities, offering the chance to make a significant impact on a well-established financial firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership, identifying areas for improvement to maintain excellent business standards.
  • Ensure all business activities comply with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage weekly Management Information (MI) reporting and provide actionable insights to directors.
  • Oversee staff training, development, and performance reviews to maximise team potential.
  • Lead business projects to improve processes and implement new policies.
  • Manage HR systems in line with current regulations to support employees and the business.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and candidate engagement processes.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a financial services environment.
  • Proven track record in effective people management.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, legislation, and compliance standards.
  • Operational knowledge of financial firm processes.
  • Excellent computer literacy and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, logical thinking, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Dedication to professional development to meet regulatory and personal growth needs.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Intelligent Office software (training can be provided).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
