Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop detailed mechanical designs and drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Lead on technical problem-solving, providing support and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including datasheets, drawings, and design specifications.
- Ensure all designs meet relevant safety, certification, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in production, operations, and project management to deliver on time and to specification.
- Participate in design reviews and present technical findings and recommendations.
- HNC/HND (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally within complex or safety-critical environments.
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Strong capability in producing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments.
- Experience supporting and developing less experienced engineers or apprentices.
- Compressed working hours with half-day Fridays.
