Our client, a leading provider of electro-mechanical services, is seeking a Site Service Engineer to join their team in Cheddar. This is an exciting opportunity to work on-site with clients across multiple industries, carrying out repairs, maintenance, and servicing of rotating equipment.
The role is commutable from Cheddar, Draycott, Axbridge, Wedmore, Badgworth, and Winscombe.
The Role - Field Service Engineer: As a Site Service Engineer, you will be a key part of the team, providing technical expertise and ensuring equipment runs smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing on-site repairs, maintenance, and servicing of motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out both mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Working closely with customers to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
- Assisting with installations, removals, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintaining accurate service records and ensuring all work adheres to health and safety standards.
Skills & Experience Required - Field Service Engineer: - Proven experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, ideally in a field-based role.
- Repair or maintenance experience with motors, pumps, gearboxes and fans.
- Lives within a commutable distance of Cheddar site when needed
- Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently on-site.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Proactive problem-solving attitude with excellent customer service skills.
The Package - Field Service Engineer: - Salary £38,000-£40,000 per annum
- Day shifts 8am 5pm, Monday Friday (40-hour week)
- Overtime and on-call work opportunities (OTE £50k+)
