Pump Engineer/ Fitter
North East Leicester
Day shift Mon-Fri
Permanent Role
Up to £40k DOE

Our client is a well-established engineering business specialising in the repair and refurbishment of motors, pumps, and industrial equipment for clients across sectors including power generation, manufacturing, water and various commercial/industrial businesses. They are known for their high-quality repair work and technical expertise. This is a hands-on workshop-based role in North East Leicester, ideal for someone with pump repair, maintenance / mechanical experience.

Other titles could include: Pump Engineer, Pump Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, Electro-Mechanical Fitter, Service Engineer, Workshop Engineer, Workshop Fitter, Gearbox Fitter, Repair Technician, Mechanical Technician, Industrial Fitter, Pump Technician or similar.

Key Responsibilities - Pump Engineer / Fitter:
  • Strip down, assess, and rebuild pumps, gearboxes.
  • Diagnose faults and complete all work to high standards of quality and safety.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and test records.
  • Work collaboratively within a small, skilled workshop team.

Experience & Skills Required - Pump Engineer / Fitter:
  • Proven experience as a Pump Fitter/Engineer
  • Hands-on experience stripping down and repairing pumps, gearboxes and fans (ESSENTIAL)
  • Commutable to the Thurmaston area daily with a driving licence.
  • Competent with both mechanical and electrical aspects of repair work.
  • A flexible, cooperative attitude and commitment to quality workmanship.

Package - Pump Engineer / Fitter:
  • Salary up to £40,000 DOE
  • Day Shifts 8:00am 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
