Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC level). As Principal Electrical Engineer, you'll take a technical lead role in designing and integrating complex electrical systems that power the next generation of marine innovation.

• Lead the design, development, and integration of electrical systems across a range of maritime products.
• Define system architectures, select components, and ensure compliance with safety and EMC standards.
• Produce and review schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation.
• Support build, test, and commissioning activities.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and driving best practice across the team.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to deliver reliable, cost-effective, and compliant solutions.

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, power distribution, and control systems.
• Experience with electrical CAD tools and relevant safety or compliance standards (CE/UKCA, EMC, electrical safety).
• Confident leading design reviews, solving complex integration issues, and managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with PLCs, motor control, or industrial automation.
• Experience mentoring and developing engineering capability.
