Recruit UK is supporting a leading wealth management firm in their search for an experienced Paraplanner.

About the Role

As a Paraplanner, you'll play a vital role in supporting Financial Planners in delivering high-quality advice and service to clients. You'll be responsible for preparing accurate suitability reports, undertaking detailed research, and ensuring all client recommendations are fully compliant with FCA regulations. You'll also contribute to mentoring trainee paraplanners, maintaining in-house templates, and working closely with both internal compliance and external providers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated paraplanner who enjoys the technical side of financial planning while working in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare clear, accurate suitability reports and supporting documentation.
• Conduct in-depth research and cashflow modelling to support client recommendations.
• Collaborate with Financial Planners to review investment propositions.
• Liaise with compliance and product providers to ensure robust client solutions.
• Support recruitment, training, and mentoring of junior paraplanners.
• Keep up to date with market trends and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in client and paraplanner meetings when required.

Skills & Experience

• Working towards, or already holding, the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
• Strong technical knowledge of investments, trusts, insurance products, and tax planning.
• Excellent cashflow modelling skills and confident use of financial software.
• Proven analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage with both colleagues and clients.
• Organised, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
