Hybrid - Stafford (3 days in office)
£40,000 - £45,000 + Private Healthcare + Matched Pension + Life Cover

Avanti is representing a long-established engineering and technology business that delivers nationwide data, surveying, and maintenance solutions across large-scale UK projects.
The company is growing fast, turnover currently sits at £70+million and they're targeting £100m within two years.
The Role
This is a great opportunity for a GIS Developer who wants to work with modern Esri technology in a small, collaborative team that has real influence within the business.
You'll take ownership of developing and improving GIS workflows that underpin critical infrastructure projects across the UK.
Your work will help automate, streamline, and enhance nationwide data systems that support major public sector clients and Tier 1 engineering contractors.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining GIS tools and workflows using Python, ArcPy, SQL, and Esri ArcGIS Pro/Online
- Supporting digital transformation projects as the company moves away from legacy ArcMap systems
- Designing, building, and testing scripts and microservices to automate data handling
- Collaborating closely with a mid-level GIS developer and technical leads
- Mentoring colleagues and supporting innovation across the team
Tech Environment
- Esri ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro
- Python, ArcPy, Pandas, SQL Lite, SQLAlchemy
- C# (ArcGIS Pro SDK), Node.js, React
- ETL tools, Version Control (Git/Subversion)
