Family First Case Manager

Location: Knowsley Contract Type: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: £20 Umbrella P/H

About the Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and compassionate Family First Case Manager to join a dedicated team delivering targeted and co-ordinated interventions to families with children aged 0-18 years who present with a range of complex and interrelated needs.

This role focuses on empowering families to achieve better outcomes, including improved school attendance, emotional health and well-being, strengthened relationships, reduced risk-taking behaviours, and enhanced employability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake holistic Early Help Assessments in partnership with families to identify strengths, risks, and areas for support.

  • Act as Lead Professional, developing and implementing outcome-focused Family Plans and co-ordinating multi-agency interventions.

  • Deliver practical, evidence-based support including parenting programmes, one-to-one work, and group sessions to promote positive family change.

  • Lead Team Around the Family meetings and ensure progress is monitored through regular reviews and collaborative working.

  • Maintain accurate, high-quality case records and contribute to performance and audit processes.

  • Support the development and delivery of innovative prevention and early intervention programmes for young people and parents.

  • Promote restorative practice and a "Think Family" approach across all aspects of work.

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Have proven experience of working with children, young people, and families with complex needs.

  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of early help processes, safeguarding, and multi-agency working.

  • Possess strong communication, assessment, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.

  • Be confident in engaging families who may be resistant to support and in delivering practical, solution-focused interventions.

  • Be flexible to work some evenings and weekends where required.
