Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support SCADA architecture deployment for power utilities.
Manage PowerOn Advantage (PoA) integrations and conduct PoA functionality testing.
Handle deployment and configuration of PoA components across environments.
Demonstrate a detailed understanding of PoA architecture and its various modules.
Execute 2-3 full-cycle PoA system deployments within power utilities.
Integrate PoA with Operational Technology (OT) applications such as GIS, WFM, PI, Historian, and other enterprise systems.
Coordinate with customers and multi-vendor teams to ensure smooth implementation.
Plan, design, and deliver end-to-end deployment solutions from engineering to operations.
Ensure seamless handover of solutions/resources to operational teams.
Provide technical guidance on defining solution architecture and integration with external systems.
Develop test plans, test cases, and acceptance documentation for system validation and transition.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standards, regulations, and best practices in the power systems domain.
Technical Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with PowerOn Advantage (PoA), including SCADA, DMS, and OMS configuration.
Proficiency in PoA network configuration and multi-discipline system integration projects.
Experience in PL/SQL, Shell, PFL, and Perl Scripting.
Configuration of modules such as Group Telecontrol, Automation, System Tracing, Symbol Design, and Alarm Configuration.
Setup and configuration of SOAP services, application/database Servers, FEP Servers, Historian DB, DPF (Distribution Power Flow), and Proxy Servers.
Experience in Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) for report development and deployment.
Hands-on experience in server replication setup and testing (Application, Reports, Proxy Servers).
Familiarity with PoA cartography for network building.
Solid understanding of both Windows and Linux server environments.
Knowledge of IT/OT security standards, including NERC CIP compliance.
Industry Knowledge & Capabilities:
Strong understanding of electric utility distribution planning, engineering, and operations.
Ability to use domain expertise to help clients adapt to new OT solutions (DERMS, DRMS, ADMS, OMS, SCADA).
Evaluate and enhance clients' use of tools, applications, and methodologies in distribution operations.
Apply recognized industry methods to address client needs and deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
Anticipate and resolve technical issues independently or with minimal support.
