Job Description

Paraplanner

  • A competitive salary, dependent on experience and qualification
  • No requirement to have level 4 Diploma, but you will be supported to achieve this.
  • IMPRESSIVE Leeds city centre location, stone's throw from train station
  • Progression opportunities within a growing business
  • A collaborative, professional and friendly working environment
  • Life cover and pension contributions

Tempest Jones is excited to be working with a boutique financial planning practice based in Leeds city centre as they embark on their search for an additional Paraplanner. The firm provides truly holistic advice to high-net-worth clients, many of whom have investable assets in excess of £2 million.

They pride themselves on delivering a personal, long-term service, and are entering an exciting period of growth, making this a great time to join and grow with the business. This role is not to work for a consolidator.

This role would suit a paraplanner or a highly experienced financial planning administrator who has had some exposure to report writing and research, keen to build their skills in this area.

Paraplanner - Key Accountabilities

This is a varied role with exposure to all areas of financial planning. Whilst the vast majority of the time will be spent paraplanning, you will be happy to support your administration colleagues to deliver a seamless service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering policy information, preparing research, analysis and comparison reports.
  • Supporting the production of bespoke highly intricate suitability reports.
  • Acting as technical referral point to colleagues.
  • Assisting the administration team as needed with client valuations, applications, and processing during busy periods.
  • Managing incoming calls and client enquiries in a professional, polite and friendly manner.
  • Working closely with the already established Paraplanner, Financial Planners and Administration team to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal processes.

The role would suit a Paraplanner who enjoys being hands-on in a small, close-knit team and who wants to build a strong understanding of the full advice process with lots of client contact. This is not a pure report writing role and will require somebody who is happy to 'roll up their sleeves' and support their team members.

Paraplanner - The Offering

You don't need to be Level 4 Diploma qualified - the company will fully support your professional development and progression towards this qualification. If you have some exams already however, that's great!

You'll benefit from genuine career growth opportunities as the firm expands, alongside mentoring and exposure to high-quality client work from day one.

This position offers:

  • A competitive salary, dependent on experience and qualification
  • Study support towards the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
  • Progression opportunities within a growing business
  • A collaborative, professional and friendly working environment in central Leeds
  • Life cover and pension contributions
