We re seeking a Quality Engineer to join a leading aerospace organisation, where you ll play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving continuous improvement across engineering projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems, software, hardware, and mechanical design projects, contributing to the highest levels of design assurance.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer
- Develop and manage external QA interfaces across projects.
- Review and approve design and development documentation to ensure compliance with quality systems.
- Create and maintain Quality Plans aligned with stakeholder, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
- Audit project lifecycles for adherence to aerospace standards including ARP4754, DO-254 (ED-80), and DO-178C (ED-12C).
- Ensure customer requirements and design review criteria are met across all development activities.
- Oversee conformity assessments and ensure lifecycle data integrity.
- Manage deviations in design processes and lead corrective actions.
- Support subcontractor compliance and facilitate internal/external continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as a key point of contact for quality-related guidance and information.
What We re Looking For
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Quality Engineer Skills & Experience:
- Awareness of AS9100, ARP4754A, DO-178B/C, DO-254, and aerospace regulations (civil & military).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage subcontractors.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and conflict management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based tools.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
