Job Description

Blueprint Recruitment have a new and exciting opportunity on offer for a seasoned Regional Design Manager to join a leading engineering firm, in a permanent position. Within this role, you will be expected to work on a hybrid basis from our client's office in Derby, but our client will consider candidates located in Kent and East Sussex. You will be responsible for managing all design processes within a variety of Water Treatment projects.

-Competitive salary of £70,000-£85,000 (depending on experience).

Responsibilities:

-Manage and oversee the internal design teams to ensure high-quality performance, development, and resource allocation.

-Establish rapport with internal and external stakeholders to allow for the project to follow the requirements fully.

-Support project planning processes, tendering, and forecasting through sharing design expertise and identifying risks and challenges.

-Promote team development and progression through ongoing innovation, sustainable practices, and digital tools.

-Ensure all designs comply with client standards and align with regulations through observation and quality assurances.

-Nurture health and safety within designs, allowing for full alignment with CDM regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or Design Management, or an equivalent discipline, with, or working towards, a chartered status.

-5+ years of experience as a Regional Design Manager, or a similar role, ideally within the water and/or wastewater management sector.

-Proven ability to manage and oversee design teams, whilst working with external stakeholders.

-Strong understanding of programme planning systems, pipeline forecasting, and tendering and estimation processes.

-Solid understanding of CDM regulations and health and safety protocols.
