Job Description

WATER HYGIENE, HEATING AND HOT WATER OPERATIVE Our client is a leading facilities management organisation providing hard FM support across Aldershot camp.
  • Salary: £31,200 per annum plus company vehicle, tools provided, uniform etc
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, no weekends
  • Location: Aldershot

Your Role:
  • To carry out Water Hygiene, Heating & Hot Water systems Planned/Reactive maintenance activities across the Estate including undertaking monitoring, sampling, testing, disinfection, interpretation of results, re-dosing, as required and the upkeep of accurate records.
  • To liaise with all members of the maintenance team as required in relation to the control of maintenance activities and to identify and report potential issues early.
  • Ensure the recording of all maintenance works are completed in line with the Management System.
  • Work with the Garrison reactive or planned maintenance teams as required.

What We're Looking For:
  • Qualifications: Good working knowledge of hot & cold water systems and disinfection of building water systems. Have an understanding of L8 ACoP, Water Regulations & BS8558.
  • Experience: Experienced in water hygiene tasks in line with L8 guidelines, including water temperature monitoring and sampling, inspection of cold water storage, shower descaling, and cleaning/disinfection pf water systems. Possess strong mechanical aptitude and hold an IOSH Working Safely certification.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to complete detailed testing reports. Organised, tidy and customer focused, with methodical approach to problem solving. Has a positive can-do attitude and works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK valid driving licence required.
