Job Description

Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be supporting the recruitment needs of a growing organisation in Liverpool who are keen to appoint a Finance Business Partner on a full time, permanent basis.

Collaborating across this SME organisation, this is a pivotal position within the finance function, bringing financial insight and support to the Finance Director and key stakeholders.

The successful new appointment will have a proven background in management accounts, overseeing spend and budgets, providing detailed forecasts and insightful MI / KPI reports for the senior leadership team, measuring business performance.

You will be a qualified accountant, (ACA / CIMA / ACCA), seeking a role with a level of autonomy and responsibility.

Attention to detail and a pro-active attitude is key, along with a proven background in big data, financial analysis and reporting. Excel / Power BI would be beneficial, although all training will be provided.


The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for:

  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Partner with operational teams to understand costs, key drivers, challenges and potential opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Produce monthly management accounts and MI packs.
  • Adding value - manage / lead projects and initiatives to improve financial processes, continuous improvement.
  • Lead variance analysis to ensure budgets and forecasts are met, identifying any risks or deviations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to influence financial outcomes and achieve business targets.
  • Present financial results and insights to the senior management team and other stakeholders.
  • Support the wider business in recommending / implementing change


The ideal applicant, will be:

  • Available for permanent work in Liverpool at short notice
  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), who is seeking to join a company who will invest and support your career development, offering new opportunities.
  • Possess strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Proficient in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • A strategic thinker with a proactive, results-driven approach.
  • Capable of working well under pressure, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Familiar with stakeholder management, business partnering
  • Knowledge of MS Excel / PowerBI
