Job: Special Needs Support

Location: Schools around North Yorkshire

Hours: Full and Part Time available

The Role: Veritas Education are currently working with a range of special needs schools and provisions around the North Yorkshire area, who are on the look out for new support staff members.

The various schools range from early years age groups, all the way up to post 16, supporting and creating a nurturing learning environment for children with additional needs.

Within this role you will .

• Support children with a range of learning, physical and medical needs.
• Work on a one-to-one basis, and across small groups within the class.
• Assist with medical care, personal care and hygiene support.
• Deliver an interactive, caring and passionate approach to supporting children/young adults.
• Assist the class teacher and other support staff in creating an inclusive, safe and exciting learning environment through the use of play, education and personal development.
• Working with a range of learning needs such as Autism, Asperger's, Down Syndrome and communication needs.

Previous experience supporting special educational needs is essential, whether that has been in schools, care settings or support worker backgrounds for example, we want to hear from you!

• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
• You must have legal right to work in the UK
• You must be willing to attend a registration interview

Veritas Education work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
