Our client is a fast-growing, founder led, digital healthcare company experiencing rapid growth.

They are looking for a talented Senior Full Stack Developer to work with the Head of Development & senior leadership to help strengthen the development and delivery team. This role is primarily focused on the back-end (Laravel/PHP) side, but with solid front-end experience, ideally in Vue.js.

Within the space of 4 years the business has developed a leading healthcare home testing service, capitalised on changing market demands and launched a new healthcare product experiencing significant and rapid growth in subscriber numbers.

You will help with the development and mentorship of mid-level developers while also being able to collaborate effectively with the front end development team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain Laravel based APIs and backend systems
• Collaborate with front end developers on full stack features and UI integrations
• Review and refactor existing code to improve performance, maintainability and security
• Participate in code reviews, offer mentorship and champion best practices

Essential Criteria:

• 10+ years of professional experience in web development.
• Strong PHP/Laravel background with exposure to front-end frameworks.
• Practical experience with Vue.js - or strong transferable skills from Svelte/Alpine.js.
• Enjoys mentoring and helping mid-level devs grow technically.
• Highly autonomous and delivery-focused, comfortable owning complex features end-to-end.
• Pragmatic and detail-oriented, with a focus on maintainable, scalable solutions.
• Must be willing and able to work in Southampton 2-3 days a week.
