Benefits: BUPA health care, NEST pension, 25 days annual leaveThe role of the Estimator - Laboratory Furniture will involve:

• Estimator position dealing with main a high end manufactured range of laboratory furniture such as: ward furniture, hygiene stations, worktops, surfaces, taps, benches, desks, shelving and teaching stations
• Review and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Perform accurate take-offs using Excel to quantify materials and components.
• Develop detailed schedules and pricing documents for tender submissions.
• Liaise with internal teams (design, production, and project management) to ensure feasibility and accuracy.
• Obtain prices for items through the procurement team.
• Attend meetings with main contractors to discuss scope, pricing, and project requirements.
• Problem-solving skills in cost reduction and value engineering to support the Main Contractor.
• Maintain and update pricing databases and estimation templates.

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator - Laboratory Furniture with:

• Must have 2+ years of estimating experience within construction or manufacturing environment
• Ideally will have experience in the furniture, fit out, FF&E or related interiors market sector
• Experience with ward furniture, hygiene stations, worktops, surfaces, taps, benches, desks, shelving and teaching stations would be highly advantageous
• Extensive Excel experience
• Comfortable reading architectural drawings
