Job Purpose: -
Following a period of sustained growth over the last 5 years, we require a Building Surveyor to add technical capacity to our leadership team in order to ensure our residential, i.e. stock condition, surveying projects are delivered safely and to a high standard. We want to hear from candidates with a broad range of experience - we value potential as well as experience. The successful candidate will have strong technical and leadership qualities, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities: -
• Ensure that survey data is accurately and consistently recorded.
• Conduct audits (desktop and on-site) to ensure the quality of all completed survey work, including that of external consultants.
• Use survey data to monitor and report on compliance with relevant regulations, such as the Decent Homes Standard and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
• Ensure strong operational and commercial performance.
• Provide technical advice and support to Clients, internal stakeholders and other teams within the business.
• Embed a strong Health & Safety culture within the surveying team(s).
• Contribute to the development of service areas through innovation.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience: -
• Extensive knowledge of residential building surveying, including diagnosing building defects, e.g. damp and mould (Essential)
• Full UK driving licence with own vehicle (Essential)
• Experience using mobile data collection apps, and Microsoft Office (Essential)
