We're Hiring - HVAC & Refrigeration Commissioning Engineer (Marine/Shipbuilding Sector)
Location: Fareham, HampshireJob Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £40 - 60k, DoE Travel: Includes international travel and a mix of on-site (shipyards/ships) and off-site work

The Role
As a HVAC & Refrigeration Commissioning Engineer, you will:

Lead the installation, commissioning, servicing, fault-finding, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems on board ships and in shipyard settings

Oversee system build, testing, and inspections, ensuring projects meet exacting marine standards

Deliver smooth handover processes and provide technical input during final commissioning stages

Support global project delivery, both on-site and remotely

Offer technical guidance to clients, engineers, and project teams
What You'll Need

Completed refrigeration apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on industry experience

FGAS Category 1 qualification (essential)

Solid background in HVAC and refrigeration engineering

Strong knowledge of system commissioning, controls, and operational troubleshooting

Willingness to travel internationally and work in both shipyard and on-board environments

Full UK driving licence

Ability to obtain Security clearance
