HGV Workshop Supervisor

Location: Hull
Salary: £51,048 per year
Shift: Monday Friday, 7:00am 5:00pm / 8:00am 6:00pm (alternating shifts) 48hrs
plus 1 in 2 saturday mornings 8 - 12

We are looking for an experienced HGV Workshop Supervisor to lead and support a skilled team in a busy 2-bay workshop. You will be managing 2 technicians and splitting your time approximately 75% on the tools and 25% off the tools, combining hands-on vehicle and trailer work with workshop management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support a team of 2 HGV technicians, managing workloads, schedules, and performance
  • Carry out repairs, servicing, MOT preparation, and refurbishment work on vehicles and trailers
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure parts and materials are available for day-to-day operations
  • Ensure all compliance, quality, and workshop documentation is completed accurately (service sheets, job cards, parts records)
  • Liaise with drivers and the traffic department to discuss vehicle defects and servicing issues
