Buyer Residential Developer Location: Hampshire / Dorset region

We re working with a respected and well-established residential developer with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality homes across the South. Due to sustained growth and a healthy project pipeline, they re looking to appoint an experienced Buyer to join their commercial team.
The Role This is a great opportunity for a driven and organised Buyer to take ownership of procurement across a portfolio of quality developments. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams to ensure all materials, plant, and subcontract packages are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Source and procure materials, plant, and subcontract packages to meet programme and budget requirements.
- Negotiate prices and contract terms to achieve best value while maintaining quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong supplier and subcontractor relationships.
- Support project teams with accurate forecasting and procurement scheduling.
- Contribute to cost control, value engineering, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
About You: - Experience in a buying or procurement role within housebuilding or construction.
- Confident negotiator with excellent commercial awareness.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good knowledge of construction materials and processes.
- COINS or similar system experience advantageous but not essential.
