Engineering Estimator - Manufacturing

A leading manufacturer of food processing equipment is seeking an experienced Engineering Estimator to join their Sales Team. This is a key role supporting sales activities by preparing detailed estimates and quotations for both standard and bespoke machinery, including installation and service support.

Engineering Estimator - Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed estimates using standard templates and Excel.
• Include third-party equipment and components from group companies as needed.
• Log and manage quotations using Access Database and CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot).
• Respond to sales enquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely follow-up.
• Raise internal sales orders from client purchase orders and link them to relevant quotations.
• Collaborate with departments such as Accounts and Projects to support resource planning.
• Provide technical information and lead time estimates to clients.
• Contribute to the development of a more efficient estimating and quotation system.
• Evaluate proposal software options and make recommendations to senior leadership.

Engineering Estimator - Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in a manufacturing estimating role, preferably within engineering or machinery.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office 365, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Hubspot.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across all levels of the business.
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to assess and recommend new tools or software to improve processes.

Additional Details
You would be contracted to work 39 hours per week.

Working Hours: Monday 7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 4.00 pm Tuesday 7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 4.30 pm Wednesday/Thursday 7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 5.00 pm Friday 7.30 am - 12 noon (unless working overtime).
