Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various fabrication processes. This role involves applying powder coatings to metal surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets our rigorous standards. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking as required.
• Operate powder coating equipment and apply coatings evenly to metal parts.
• Monitor the curing process to ensure optimal finish quality.
• Conduct regular maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members in assembly and fabrication tasks as needed.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively in the preparation and finishing processes.
• Assist with welding tasks when required, ensuring all work meets company standards.

Experience

• Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in a similar role as a powder coater or paint sprayer.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic powder coater techniques.
• Basic mathematical skills for measuring and mixing materials accurately.
• Willingness to work overtime
• Self motivated
