Job Purpose:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trim Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and trimming high-quality vehicle interior components to impeccable Show Car standards, while maintaining production intent. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, exceptional craftsmanship, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and trim vehicle interior components (including steering wheels, instrument panels (IPs), doors, consoles, and carpets) to exacting Show Car quality standards.
- Create high-precision, fully functional Mylar patterns with exceptional attention to detail.
- Collaborate closely with Design and Engineering teams to ensure quality, functionality, and feasibility of components.
- Confidently sew development covers, executing detailed and complex stitch work.
- Support prototype and production builds as required, ensuring timely and precise delivery.
- Take ownership of projects, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring deliverables meet the highest standards of craftsmanship.
- Participate in CAD reviews, providing expert advice on sew trench placement and stitch design prior to part manufacturing.
- Adhere to all company health and safety policies, including the use of PPE, and work within ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.
Essential Skills and Experience: - Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Automotive Trim Development, ideally within an OEM or Concept Vehicle environment.
- Proven, expert-level proficiency in creating precise Mylar working patterns.
- Deep understanding of production processes and the specific quality expectations for Show Car projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering top-tier craftsmanship.
- Strong experience in CAD review and image interpretation for trim development.
- Must be a self-motivated professional, confident in client-facing situations, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends to meet critical project deadlines.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Desirable Competencies: - Previous show car development experience.
- A strong, positive reputation within the automotive trim industry.
