Ensure that HR policies are implemented fairly and consistently and that the core values of the Company are upheld and to promote and maintain fair and reasonable standards in the treatment of people at all times Provide advice and guidance to managers to support them with any issues such as poor performance, flexible working requests, attendance management to improve their independence and management skills in these areas Assist in staff absence processes in relation to holiday reconciliation, maternity, adoption, parental, paternity and shared parental leave ensuring staff and managers receive appropriate documentation and are advised on entitlements etc.; Manage all long term absence. Undertake the leaver process including arranging leaver surveys and distribution of results; Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the Company and liaise with a range of organisations to promote fair treatment and a positive work environment. Manage the process for employee loyalty rewards ensuring certificates and employee rewards are implemented within the required timescales. Ensure that employee risk assessments are carried out in a timely manner for pregnant women, display screen equipment, long term absence returners, employees suffering from specific medical conditions etc Arrange employee SHE training as required ensuring HR systems records are kept updated in a timely and accurate fashion Arrange external health surveillance checks for technical staff and maintain records; Support for the Company Performance Management Review Scheme, ensuring that learning and development needs identified during the process are followed up and actioned with managers within budgetary constraints; Monitor and report on all learning activity employee evaluations undertaken in order that all activities meet the requirements of the individual and the Company; Monitoring and organising employee learning activities including responsibility for the HR library and on-line employee training activities ensuring that management authorisation is obtained, costs are minimised and budgets are maintained. Support and contribute to the planning and implementation of the Human Resources strategy and policy Assist in the development of allocated policies, procedures, guidance and other documents to reflect HR policy arrangements, ensuring compliance with legislation, organisational fit and best practice; Manage additions and amendments (as content author) of all HR policies, procedures and forms Assist in maintaining a network of internal and external contacts and to research best practice in order to bring forward ideas for continuous improvement in relevant policy areas.
