Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are looking to recruit a Housing and Neighbourhoods Lead to join our team based in Ipswich, Suffolk. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of £53,460 - £63,013 per annum (pro rata for part time).
This role is open to full time, part time, and job share applications, all of which will be assessed equally.

We are looking for a Housing and Neighbourhoods Lead to join our Housing team.
About the role
As Housing and Neighbourhoods Lead, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality housing and neighbourhood services to our council tenants.
This senior management role involves leading operational teams to ensure tenancies are well-supported, neighbourhoods are safe and thriving, and services are compliant with all relevant legislation and regulatory standards.
You will drive performance, tenant satisfaction, and continuous improvement through strategic planning, collaboration, and a strong focus on customer care.
Working closely with the Head of Housing Management, you will lead service transformation, champion tenant engagement, and ensure the council s housing services are inclusive, efficient, and responsive.
You will oversee compliance frameworks, manage risks, and contribute to financial planning, all while fostering a culture of respect, fairness, and accountability across teams and communities.
