Compliance Manager

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative business at the forefront of digital financial services, where you'll play a key role in ensuring regulatory excellence while supporting ambitious growth plans.

The Role

As the Compliance Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day compliance activities and help shape the compliance framework as the company scales. You'll work closely with senior leadership, advising on FCA regulations and ensuring that products and services are designed and delivered with compliance front of mind.

This is a role where you can make a genuine impact, balancing innovation with regulatory requirements and contributing directly to the success of the business.

The role is fully remote (North-West desired), with the requirement to attend their head offices in London if required.

Roles & Responsibilities (But not limited to):

• Managing compliance frameworks, policies, and monitoring programmes.
• Acting as a key contact for FCA and other regulatory requirements.
• Providing advice on new products and services to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Responsible for the management of 6 remote executives.
• Designing and embedding end-to-end workflows for the compliance team, including: Onboarding & KYC, Transaction Monitoring, AML & Financial Crime Complaints and Handling Regulatory Reporting
• Communication owner/escalation point to all external suppliers/partners compliance teams.
• Ownership of regulatory reporting and internal compliance escalations.
• Responsible for SAR / NCA reporting.
• Leading compliance monitoring, audits, and risk assessments.
• Training and supporting colleagues on compliance best practice.
• Staying ahead of regulatory change and embedding it into business processes.

Experience / Qualifications:

• Strong background in compliance within FinTech, payments, lending, or financial services.
• Hands-on knowledge of FCA requirements (Consumer Duty, SMCR, AML).
• Ability to design and implement structured workflows to ensure smooth compliance operations.
• Confident communicator who can collaborate with product, operations, and senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, commercial, and adaptable in a high-growth environment.
• Compliance or AML qualifications (e.g., ICA/ACAMS) are an advantage.
